For some families, enjoying a community event depends on having a quiet place to regroup or a private space to meet complex hygiene needs. Our Mobile Calming Corner and Comfort Station bring these supports to events, helping remove barriers so more people and families living with disabilities can participate.
Spaces That Help Families Stay
The Calming Corner
A quiet space for guests who experience sensory overload to pause, decompress, and regain their composure
before returning to enjoy the event with their families.
Our mobile sensory room includes a wheelchair lift to help guests access the space.
The Comfort Station
A private space for individuals with complex hygiene needs and the caregivers who assist them.
Access to a suitable space for personal care can make the difference between leaving early and enjoying the
day together

FOUNDING GRANT PARTNER

This grant provided the startup funding for our trailer
and build-out, helping turn the Mobile Calming Corner
and
Comfort Station into a reality.
Autism License Plate Fund & Autism Services Grants Council
EQUIPMENT & DEPLOYMENT GRANT PARTNER
$10,000 | 2026-2027 grant cycle
This grant supports final equipment needs and deployment of these services at community events in Polk,
Highlands, and Hardee counties.
The Florida Autism License Plate Program is administered by Arc Broward. Thank you to everyone whose
purchase of an Autism Programs specialty plate helps support services for individuals with autism and related
disabilities.
